Course Description: Further study of statistical concepts for bioinformatics. Statistical topics include bootstrap, Markov chains, random Walks, renewal process, and Bayesian analysis. These are applied in BLAST, statistical modeling of DNA sequence, multiple sequence alignment, models for sequence evolution, phylogenetic analysis and other topics..
